#VidHuddle: Recording Audio
Audio is less forgiving than video. If you have okay video, sometimes you can make it work. But just okay audio, or bad audio, and viewers will leave your video. This is a brief dive into recording audio with microphone recommendations and tips.
Q1: What are your thoughts on the death of MP3?
A1: I really like the AAC codec and WAV files, so I'm happy that MP3s are phasing out. I wish video codecs would phase out too #VidHuddle

Mainly, it's "where will it end up?" Each platform/outlet has different volume requirements, or, like YouTube, have no "standards" at all.

For ADR, Sennheiser 416 (to match location boom), for VO, AKG C414 is ALWAYS reliable, and my old RODE NT2 for down and dirty.

Was working on a doc about 9/11. Had to recreate the sound of the towers falling, plus crowd reaction. Difficult on many levels.
