#VidHuddle: File Storage
It may be a small piece in the video production process, but storage is absolutely vital. In the age of digital video, storage is not only necessary, but it's important to know at least the basics. Otherwise, you could lose your footage forever.
This week we discuss tips and tricks to storing and organizing your video footage.
Q1: How do your store video footage?
A1: At work it's a super fancy system from @NimbleStorage and I LOVE it. At home mainly externals and Amazon cloud #Vidhuddle

Q2: What are best practices for organizing footage?
A2: I like to get more organized with Premiere bins than I do folder bins. Usually separate out by selects and raw footage #VidHuddle
-@AndreaPAbbott
A2: I would probably use Premiere too. I just got a subscription to Adobe so that I can create more video content #VidHuddle

Q3: What are some cost effective external hard drive solutions?
A3: My go to is those @Seagate passports. They're handy and usually under $100 #VidHuddle

Q4: Solid State Drive (SSD) or Hard Disk Drive (HDD)?
A4: I mean, SSD is preferable if there's budget, but HDD work fine. I think the key is to have backup in the cloud or on tape #VidHuddle
